My youngest son is a Dallas Cowboy fan, so when I saw this QKR Digi #16004 I just new she was a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader.
The sentiment was PC generated and I used one of the Memory Box Stitched Clouds to cut it out and placed a couple more clouds in the background. I added the pink tree on the side, which was cut with Memory Box's Love Branch.
For the background I used paper from a Molly and Rex 6X6 pad that I think was purchased at Michael's. I embossed the square frame a Memory Box Stitched Square die. I used another pretty print behind it from that same pad for additional interest.
I can't believe I did this, but I cut the front background in the middle of the 6X6 paper which allowed me to use it on the inside.(Happy accident)!
I used a Paper Trey Ink rick-rack die at the bottom. The sentiments are Penny Black (top) and
Hampton Art (bottom).
And this is where I got my Inspiration.
I Think my granddaughter Emmy was about 3 when this was taken.
I am entering this little angel in QKR Stampede Challenge #268 Angels.
Oh, Gail, this is SO adorable! I just love this little cowgirl, and what a fabulous card you've made! She's so sweet flying in the sky like an angel, and what a fun "accident" with the DP (I may have to try to figure this out in the reverse for when I use a large piece for the mat...thinkin' on that one!). I love your sweet Emmy, and I agree...she was the perfect inspiration!!! Hugs, sweet friend! So very good to see you posting again! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGail, your card is so wonderful with the lovely, little cowgirl!! I love your design and the gorgeous paper used! Wow, what a darling granddaughter you have!! She is so beautiful in the photo!

Awesome card Gail! I loved this image too and colored it as a Christmas card, but I love yours (Cowboy fans too)! Thanks for joining our weekly challenge at QKR Stampede!

She's a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, for sure, but a very angelic one -- just like your granddaughter! I don't think this card could be any more perfect. The leftover frame made a nice and easy decoration for the inside. I must remember to center my dies more often! It sure is nice to have you back, Gail!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness she is totally cute, I bet dad loves this picture of her. What a sweet little tree ornament, darling card that he will love. Awesome job.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! What dad wouldn't love the adorable cowgirl! (She would be even better in Bronco blue and gold LOL!!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at the Anything goes (option - Angels) challenge at QKR stampede this week. Dorothy S, DT member
