Enjoy Life

Everyone needs a little pick-me-up now and them. This card certainly did the trick for me. I just love the sentiments. And this simple dragonfly image turned out so pretty.

I stamped the dragonfly with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Dstressed Ink then I used Zig water color brushes on Strathmore Bristol vellum surface paper.

I just love the sentiment.  Both sentiments are from the Silhouette Design Store. I printed them on a laser printer and then used my laminate machine to add the beautiful blue foil. The photo does not really show off the technique, but trust me it is beautiful.  There are several ways to use the foil and you can watch this video if you think it is something you would like to try.

I am entering my dragon fly in Double D Challenge - Don't Bug Me.  This is my "go to" for inspiration.

Stamp - Paper Inspirations
Sentiments - Silhouette Design
Paper - DCWV Coastal, Bristol Vellum Surface

Die - Spellbinder
Medium - Water Color - Zig Markers - Tim Holtz Peeled Paint

Accessories - Heidi Swap Foil, Stickles

Be beautiful my friends!

  2. Ohhh, the watercolor! Be still my heart! I love the gorgeous dragonfly with its corkscrew body, and the sentiments are beautifully scripted and quite moving. The DD inspiration boards always make me want to stamp, too. I'm glad they do the same for you. Thanks for joining us, Gail!

  4. So many things to love about this spectacular card....I'll start with the sentiment. It is wonderful and a great reminder some days. Then the font on the sentiment sings to me:). Now we will get to your coloring with the markers.....amazing using the Bristol paper and markers. The dragon fly is stunning with the sparkle you created. This card started my day in a great way. Thanks and hugs. .

  5. A great clean and simple card with this sentiment and the image. The dragonfly is so realistic looking and that background is amazing. Love the inside too and that you foiled it. Wish I could see that. Thanks for being a friend of The Double D challenge and sharing with us on the "Don't Bug Me" challenge.
