A person with a blog should post at least every two years right? Well, I moved. The basement was unfinished. That took a year and I now have a fabulous craft room. But wait... now I need to remodel the kitchen. So here I am two years later and I have the new craft room, bought myself a Silhouette Cameo 4, and a new laser printer. Now I am out of excuses.
So I went to my favorite inspiration blog,
This is my entry
This is one of many Star Jamlines digis that I bought off of Etsy a year or so ago. I went back to see if there was anything new and Star JamLines is no longer selling on Etsy. Trinity Stamps is selling gnomes that look like they may be by the same artist.
Before I colored him up with my Zig watercolor brush markers, I scanned the image into my Silhouette and traced him. Since I wanted to pop up his hands and the flowers, so I isolated them and cut them separately with the Silhouette. It took a little work to do this, but it's saved for me to use whenever.

I fell in love again with the first touch of the watercolor marker. I had so much fun creating that I really have to make more cards. (I still struggle with posting.)
Used for this card:
Star JamLines digi
"Smile" from Silhouette Design Store
Zig watercolor markers
water color pencil (for the beard)
pop-dots
White Cardstock
Yellow Cardstock
Stitched die frame (Not sure what company)

ReplyDeletePlease, please do post more! You are one of my all-time favorite crafters and I can't wait to see more. This is the most adorable gnome ever with his sunflowers in popped up hands. Way too clever, Gail! Your coloring is amazing. I hope you're working on your next project. I'm late to visit and tell you thanks for playing with us at Double D. My sweet LuLu passed on the 15th and it will be a while before I feel quite right again.
ReplyDeleteSure glad you are getting a chance to create again. This is super happy and sweet gnome. Your coloring is amazing. Great way to start my day seeing this cutie.
